Women
quilters at Immanuel meet every Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00
a.m. in the downstairs fellowship hall to make quilts to sell and
also to be given to people in need.
Some
of the quilts are distributed to migrant farm workers living in
camps near Woodburn. Over the years, most quilts have been delivered
to the yearly Lutheran World Relief Ingathering where quilts from
Lutheran congregations throughout the U.S. are gathered and delivered
to the poor and victims of natural disasters in various parts of
the world.
Anyone
interested in quilting is invited to attend -- the coffee pot is
always on!
